Hi there,

First post to the forum

I am just waiting to receive my new ICOM- IC-R20 Scanner.

Can the SBS-1 control this scanner?

It sort of can do it but you need the following

Break out cable from R20 to Audio and CIV

CT-17 or cheaper copy

Lead from SBS-CT17

An amplified extension speaker for the R20(Cat and audio come out the same socket so you lose the speaker when you connect to the PC)

That little lot comes to about £140 plus £30.00 for a radio key.

I would sell your SBS-1 and buy an SBS-1eR as a much tidier solution or program the IC-R20 and use it independantly.
